Puella Magi Madoka★Magica Episode 1

Well sorry this is so late.

During this show I was completely amazed by the graphics. The opening sequence was dark and action-filled. Then there were light calm scenes that were impressive. These glass classrooms were especially puzzling. Why wasn't my school like this?

The  figures with mustaches and butterflies were strangely chilling. I do wonder how Madoka managed to travel from the futuristic music store, to the dark, dungeon-like basement.

This show was good though, besides being the standard magical girl concept, the amazing graphics really make it better. Not that much was reveal so far. It leaves us wondering what these magic girls are fighting for

Starry Sky Capricorn

I HATE THIS SHOW! Is what I though the entire way through. Starry Sky was absolutely frustrating and annoying for me to watch. For absolutely no reason, I couldn't help but want to shoot that stupid main character in the face!
Wouldn't Yoh look nice with a bullet hole in his forehead!
It wasn't even that bad of a show. I was very happy to learn that there would be a reverse harem in the winter roster. But, even though each episode of Capricorn consisted of just about 10 minutes, I couldn't wait for them to be over. It was extremely fast paced. There are way to many character for me to even think about keeping up with in the future. Most importantly, I just couldn't make sense of anything anybody did. Whose parents just let there kid go country hoping whenever they feel like it, for some mysterious "thing" he needed in Japan.
He also makes references to that fact that he speaks more French than Japanese, but all they have managed to do is throw random French words in, even while IN France. And they kept showing the same flashback over and over again, with no real back story on anything else.
Also, "eyes like a wizard." What in the world does that mean!?
Well rant over. I don't really like it, but I know a lot of people out there will. So on no account, turn down this series because of me. :)

End of Fall 2010

The first day of  Winter is quickly hurtling towards us. Yes, the Winter solstice is on the 21st of December, only about 9 days away! That means that many anime that we have just started watching 12 weeks ago will end. Starting this week we will see final episodes.
Those Bocchan Dango look soooooo Delicous
The Legend of Legendary Heroes (a personal favorite) and OreImo will end, along with Iron Man, and etc. But of course, along with the first week of Winter comes Christmas. Many of the Fall anime have already taken on the burdening task of coming up with an interesting/non-cliche Christmas episode. Amagami SS has already gone through several Xmas episodes, all of which were pretty typical, but the next one, being its last holiday themed one, will hopefully be especially interesting.
Bakuman integrated the Christmas theme nicely/quickly into their steady plot, skipping straight through New Year's, into Valentine's Day in one episode. But, alas, we cannot recount all of this weeks episodes. So, for Christmas, lets all hope for good endings and interesting new anime. Even though it doesn't look like Santa will be bringing that gift this year...

Winter 2010-2011 Anime Season (version 2)

Click to Inlarge

Here is a more complete (but not completely complete) version of the Winter Season. There are many good series coming. Kimi ni Todoke will have another season, continuing from last fall and winter. Mitsudomoe will also continue, but that's about it as far a second seasons go, which is a totally new direction from the current season. It's nice to look forward to a refreshing season.
There are quite a few OVA and OAD on this list though. Some familiar titles include Angel Beats!, Queens Blade, and Black Lagoon.
The list will have complete channels, times, and dates eventually. That's all for now.

Yozakura Quartet: Hoshi no Umi

An interesting OVA, nothing like the original.
This show managed to supply as much moe as humanly (or inhumanly) possible. Of course, what else can you expect when Juri or Yae show up.
This show seemed to be based mostly on the manga. If you never read it, you will notice a lot of missing information. The plot is the same but some important things have changed.
The art is definitely a little different, with an endless supply of fanservice. Hime's personality took a huge hit in this show. The tsundere from before seemed to have disappeared. She's reverted into some kind of normal side character (besides the incident with the bear head).
We find out about Yae's deep obsession with teddy bears. She has a room full as proof.

It starts out with Rin in the ramen shop and ends with Rin being mysteriously controlled. Everything in between was a little confusing, and a change of pace. Well i guess we'll see what happens in April.

See you next time! CHU <3
